Job Summary and Qualifications

The Physical Therapy Aide functions as a member of the Rehab team with the purpose of assisting the PT, PTA, OT, or COTA in providing medically prescribed therapy programs in the hospital in accordance with national standards and administrative policies of the hospital. The goal is to restore function and prevent disability following disease, injury, surgery, or loss of a body part in order to allow the patient to perform to his/her maximum ability.

What Qualifications You Will Need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Prior Rehab experience is preferred

Doctors Hospital of Augusta, part of HCA Healthcare, is a 350-bed hospital that provides a wide range of medical services. It is known for its 24/7 emergency care, Level II Trauma Center, Burn Center, advanced heart care, and Baby-Friendly maternity services.
