Senior Python Engineer - Comcast
New York - New York (Remote if of tristate area / Hybrid if Local to NY) No H1B and CPTPossiblity of F2F if Local. An entertainment organization in New York City is actively seeking a new Senior Python Developer based in the EST time zone to modernize a Slack-based platform.
Responsibilities:
- Upgrading and refactoring legacy systems
- Modernizing a Slack-based application for network self-service
- Enhancing application performance and reliability
- Collaborating with teams for system integrations
- Contributing to the platform's long-range evolution into an AI-driven system
- Performing other duties, as needed
- 5+ years of production experience with Python
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Proficiency with Slack SDK/Bolt
- Strong Unix expertise
- Experience with GitHub workflows
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Master's Degree
- Background in networking, especially Arista
- Experience in Platform Modernization
