Conflicts Attorney: Contract Opportunity

We are working with an elite, national law firm seeking a Conflicts Attorney to join its attorney team on a contract basis. The Conflicts Attorney will conduct specific processes in the firm’s Governance Department, including timely and thorough review, identification, and resolution of conflicts of interest relating to incoming professionals, attorney laterals, and, perhaps, new business; preparation and review of conflicts waivers and ethical waivers; review of outside guidelines; drafting and review of engagement letters and audit letters; and the performance of other risk management related tasks. The person hired for the position will report directly to the firm’s General Counsel and/or assigned attorneys within the conflicts team. The successful candidate will have Big Law conflicts experience and will be able to train other attorneys. The expected duration of the work is, at least, six (6) months. Compensation for the position will be $90/hr. The position is available offsite in Los Angeles or Washington, DC. with some in‑office presence, as necessary. California attorney licensure or licensure in the District of Columbia is required. SUMMARY Compensation: $90/hr.
