Matheny Medical and Educational Center currently has a career opportunity available for a Full Time Unit Coordintor . The hours for this position are 8:00am-4:00pm. Desired Qualities of a Unit Coordinator Respect Professionalism Integrity Compassion Responsibilities of this position include: Uses discretion and protects the confidentiality of patient information. Performs receptionist duties for the Nursing unit. Performs patient admissions, transfers, and discharge procedures. Manages all patient charts and reports. Performs data entry as required by the Nurse Manager. Manages the supplies and equipment on the Nursing unit. Possesses knowledge of computers and other office and unit equipment. Ensures that office equipment is in good working condition. Maintains current and accurate information on the bulletin board. Maintains reference books and Policy/Procedure manuals. Assists, as directed, during emergency situations. Knows where emergency equipment is located. Coordinates patients’ medical trips to outside providers. Position Requirements High School Diploma or GED required. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Experience working with developmentally disabled individuals preferred. Good interpersonal skills required. Licensure/Certifications: Current CPR Level C Certification.
