Overview
Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Carpenters for projects located in or around Cranston, RI. This is a first shift opportunity and t he pay rate is up to $35/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:
- Layout materials
- Erect residential or commercial framework; concrete forms, walls & roofs
- Install doors frames, doors, windows, cabinets, molding & trim
- Read, analyze, and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and building plans to determine material requirements and dimensions
- Safely operate hand and power tools, such as saws, drills, and pneumatic nailer's, while maintaining tools
- Estimate material needs, troubleshoot issues, and mentor apprentices
- Adhere to safety regulations (e.g., OSHA), ensuring a safe job site and proper use of safety gear
Requirements:
- Must have proven experience as a journeyman carpenter, usually verified by completion of an apprenticeship program.
- Must have strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and construction method
- Must be able to lift heavy materials (up to 75 lbs), stand for long periods, work at heights, and work in varied weather conditions.
- Must have basic hand tools and PPE
- Ability to read blueprints
