Job Title: Inventory Specialist

Job Description

The Inventory Specialist maintains accurate warehouse inventory records while supporting daily operations in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. This role combines inventory control, order picking, data entry, and customer-focused communication, requiring strong computer skills and attention to detail. You will work closely with operations and billing teams to ensure timely, accurate information flow and efficient warehouse performance.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate data entry related to inventory, orders, and warehouse activities.

• Prepare standard reports and spreadsheets to track inventory levels, movements, and discrepancies.

• Collect, organize, record, and file inventory and operational information in a clear and accessible manner.

• Support inventory control processes, including warehouse inventory checks and cycle counts.

• Handle rating and billing duties related to warehouse operations and customer orders.

• Process specific operations invoicing accurately and on time.

• Operate forklifts, stand-up forklifts, and reach trucks safely as part of daily warehouse activities.

• Perform order picking and related warehouse tasks to support on-time order fulfillment.

• Use computers and MS Office applications to update records, communicate with internal teams, and support client service activities.

• Communicate effectively with team members and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain smooth operations.

• Prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.

• Maintain an organized, detail-oriented approach to all inventory and documentation activities.

• Perform other duties as assigned to support overall warehouse and inventory operations.

Essential Skills

• Good computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

• Ability to operate forklifts, stand-up forklifts, and reach trucks.

• Experience with order picking and warehouse inventory activities.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and internal partners.

• Good communication and client service skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking, hands-on environment.

• Ability to perform accurate data entry and maintain spreadsheets and reports.

• Ability to collect, organize, record, and file operational information reliably.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with inventory control and warehouse inventory processes.

• Comfort with computer operation in a warehouse or logistics setting.

• Flexibility to perform additional duties as assigned to support the team.

Work Environment

This role is based in a warehouse facility that operates multiple shifts to support continuous operations. Available schedules include first shift Monday through Friday from 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., second shift Monday through Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., third shift Monday through Friday from 9:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., weekend days Friday through Sunday from 5:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and weekend nights Friday through Sunday from 5:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. The environment is fast-paced and hands-on, involving regular use of forklifts, stand-up forklifts, and reach trucks, as well as computer-based systems for inventory and data entry. You will work with standard warehouse equipment and technology while collaborating closely with operations and billing teams.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lockbourne, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.75/hr.
