Salary Range: $30-35/hr

Addison Group's client is searching for a Payroll Specialist. This role is contract paying $30-35/hr in Fairfax, VA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process biweekly, semi-monthly, or monthly payroll for hourly and salaried employees
• Review timesheets and hours worked, ensuring compliance with company policies and labor laws
• Maintain payroll records, including garnishments, deductions, and tax withholdings
• Reconcile payroll reports and resolve any discrepancies
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations
• Prepare and distribute W-2s, 1099s, and other year-end reporting documents
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits deductions, and tax issues
• Partner with HR and Accounting teams on benefit integrations, GL posting, and audits
• Assist with payroll system upgrades or implementations
• Maintain confidentiality of all payroll information

Qualifications:

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field preferred
• 2+ years of payroll processing experience
• Familiarity with payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paycom, Paylocity, Workday, UKG)
• Knowledge of wage and hour laws and payroll tax regulations
