Lifeguard - Tierney - Barnegat, NJ

We are seeking a vigilant and responsible Lifeguard to join our team at Tierney in Barnegat, NJ. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of all patrons by monitoring swimming areas, enforcing safety rules, and responding promptly to emergencies. Responsibilities Monitor swimming areas to ensure the safety of all guests. Enforce facility rules and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries. Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, including performing rescues and administering first aid or CPR as needed. Maintain a clean and safe pool environment by inspecting equipment and reporting hazards. Provide excellent customer service by assisting guests and answering questions. Attend all required training sessions and maintain current lifeguard certifications. Qualifications Current lifeguard certification (e.g., American Red Cross, YMCA, or equivalent). CPR, First Aid, and AED certification required. Strong swimming skills and physical fitness. Excellent observational skills and attention to detail. Ability to remain calm and act decisively in emergency situations. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Previous lifeguard experience preferred but not required. Must be at least 16 years old. This position involves working outdoors in various weather conditions. Lifeguards must be prepared to stand or sit for extended periods and be able to respond quickly to emergencies.
