Toolmaker

Design, create, and repair a wide range of tools, molds, jigs, and fixtures Operate manual and CNC machines, grinders, and EDM to fabricate tools Interpret engineering drawings to create precise tools Inspect and measure completed tools using micrometers, calipers, and/or height gauges Maintain and troubleshoot tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime Collaborate with engineers and production to develop custom tools Maintain a clean, organized work space Perform routine maintenance on tools and machinery to extend their lifespan and ensure consistent quality Document work processes, tool specifications, and maintenance records Work with minimal supervision, performing advanced tooling repairs, modifications, and changes to meet exacting tolerances and tight deadlines Mentor and support other toolmakers, providing technical guidance and hands-on training to elevate team skill levels Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve tooling and molding challenges and support continuous improvement initiatives to minimize rework Qualifications: Proven experience as a tool maker or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment Minimum 3-5 years of CNC Machining (programming and operating) Minimum 3-5 years of Mastercam experience or equivalent CAD/CAM software 4th and 5th axis knowledge preferred EDM knowledge preferred Must be mechanically inclined Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Detail-oriented Capable of learning new processes Safety conscience attitude Ability to follow direction and work well in a team environment Ability to work with minimal supervision #J-18808-Ljbffr Aimic Inc
