Senior Human Resources (HR) Generalist

We are looking for a Senior Human Resources (HR) Generalist to support a wide range of people operations in Indianapolis, Indiana. This Long-term Contract position will play a key role in benefits administration, employee support, compliance oversight, onboarding, and leave coordination while helping managers navigate day-to-day HR matters. The ideal candidate brings strong judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to manage sensitive information effectively in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities:• Manage daily HR operations by serving as a primary point of contact for employees and leaders on policies, workplace concerns, and general people-related questions.• Administer benefit programs and leave processes, including FMLA and other approved absences, while maintaining accurate records, timelines, and employee communications.• Monitor HR practices for alignment with federal, state, and local employment requirements and support audits, investigations, documentation, and record retention efforts.• Coordinate workers’ compensation reporting and ongoing communication with insurance partners to help ensure timely case handling and documentation.• Support compensation and total rewards activities by assisting with salary administration, incentive plans, wellness offerings, and benefits-related analysis.• Maintain productive relationships with brokers, consultants, and external benefit providers to help evaluate and improve employee programs.• Lead recruiting and onboarding activities by supporting hiring workflows, candidate selection processes, and new employee integration for a strong employee experience.• Develop talent sourcing partnerships with schools, staffing firms, and industry networks to strengthen workforce pipelines and hiring readiness.• Track and report hiring and workforce metrics such as time to fill, candidate quality, turnover trends, and onboarding effectiveness.• Provide support for HR systems and payroll-related coordination, including work connected to ADP and other HRIS tools as needed.
