Maintenance TechnicianLocation: East Granby, CT (100% Onsite) Duration: 12 Months Contract Pay range: $30.00 to $32.00 per hour on W2ResponsibilitiesPerform routine and emergency maintenance on production equipment, helping ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment, including extrusion lines, payoffs, take-ups, ovens, ink jet printers, braiders, hoppers, and pumpsTroubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment issues to minimize downtimeCalibrate critical equipment and measuring devices to maintain accuracyConduct facility safety checks and inspectionsMaintain accurate maintenance logs and equipment recordsCoordinate with external service providers when neededFollow established maintenance procedures and recommend updates for improvementDesign and build basic fixtures to support production needsCommunicate clearly with managers, supervisors, and team membersPartner with engineering on machine upgrades and new equipment installationsEnsure all maintenance activities comply with safety standards and regulations (e.g., OSHA, NFPA 70E)Maintain a clean and organized maintenance work areaPrioritize and manage time effectively to complete critical tasksMust HaveHigh school diploma or equivalentExperience in plant or industrial maintenanceAbility to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings, schematics, and technical manualsHands-on experience repairing mechanical and electrical equipmentAbility to perform physical tasks such as climbing ladders, bending, crouching, twisting, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbsPreferred QualificationsTechnical or vocational degreeForklift operating experienceFamiliarity with 5S or Lean Manufacturing principles
