Technical Specialist - Industrial Automation

Make a difference.As a Technical Specialist - Industrial Automation, you will support the sales of high-tech automation and control products and work with branch personnel to identify opportunities for products to satisfy customer needs.In this role you will:Specify products to meet customer requirements and needsRecommend inventory of automation productsInform sales staff and customers of new developments in automation and related products technologyProvide technical services to customers for the operation and maintenance of automation equipmentProvide technical support of automation and control products to customer and Company personnel and new product updatesWhat you bring to the table:Minimum 1 year experience in progressively more responsible sales, marketing, and/or field experience required; 4+ years experience preferredTwo-year degree required: Technical college or equivalentKnowledge of high-tech automation and control products and engineering principles related to customer automation productsKnowledge of operations, sales, and information systems processesOral and written communication skillsInterpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with management and evaluate customer needsOrganizational and team building skillsAbility to make oral and written presentations to internal and external contacts and clearly present complex solutions to non-technical staffExtensive travel requiredPay Details:The expected salary for this position is starting at $73,000 annually depending on experience. This position is also bonus eligible based on specific and relevant business metrics.This role requires the use of your personal vehicle for business purposes.
