Technical Specialist - Industrial Automation

Position Overview Make a difference. As a Technical Specialist - Industrial Automation, you will support the sales of high‑tech automation and control products and work with branch personnel to identify opportunities for products to satisfy customer needs. Key Responsibilities Specify products to meet customer requirements and needs. Recommend inventory of automation products. Inform sales staff and customers of new developments in automation and related product technology. Provide technical services to customers for the operation and maintenance of automation equipment. Provide technical support of automation and control products to customers and Company personnel and new product updates. Qualifications Minimum 1 year of progressively more responsible sales, marketing, and/or field experience. 4+ years experience preferred. Two-year degree required: Technical college or equivalent. Knowledge of high‑tech automation and control products and engineering principles related to customer automation products. Knowledge of operations, sales, and information systems processes. Oral and written communication skills. Interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with management and evaluate customer needs. Organizational and team building skills. Ability to make oral and written presentations to internal and external contacts and clearly present complex solutions to non‑technical staff. Compensation Starting salary of $73,000 annually, depending on experience. Bonus eligible based on specific business metrics. Travel Extensive travel required.
