About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent experience required License: Active RN license or compact RN license compliant with NLC guidelines Certifications: BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Experience in a Level I Trauma Center - Travel experience required - Large hospital experience required - Previous charge experience is preferred Description: The role involves caring for patients in a medical-surgical and telemetry unit. Patient ratio is 1:12 utilizing a team nursing model, effectively managing to approximately 1:6/7. Candidates will engage in a diverse patient population, primarily surgical oncology patients with medical overflow. Nursing responsibilities include administering medications, managing intravenous lines, and performing wound care. Candidates must have experience with central lines and the ability to manage PCA pumps. Collaboration with interdisciplinary support services is essential. Availability for weekend and on-call duty is required. Block scheduling may be discussed during the interview process. Completion of all necessary onboarding and compliance requirements prior to start is essential. All requested time off must be included at the time of submission. First-time travelers are not accepted unless they possess 5+ years of experience in the specialty. The environment is fast-paced, and adaptability is crucial for success. Travelers must meet all outlined qualifications and requirements before moving forward. Candidates will not be accepted if they do not meet the minimum experience criteria.
