Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Lead role involves being responsible for providing leadership and direction to groups of employees.What a typical day looks like: Coordinate people resource requirements for the department.Communicate priority tasks to team daily and lead efforts towards production goals.Help alert other departments about planned and unplanned downtime.Avoid downtime due to material shortages by ensuring that lines are supplied with sufficient materials.Update “pass down” and “down time” communication reports to ensure communication flow with opposite shift.Follow quality indicators and help alert others if predefined indicators fall below the target.Organize employees’ at assigned workstations and rearrange assignments when necessary.Identify cause of mass failures and make the necessary adjustments to overcome errors.Motivate and mentor individual employees and small groups of employees.Monitor employees’ performance and communicate to trainers what additional training is needed.Have the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform all job requirements in area of responsibility.Be a leader in promoting compliance with 5S+1 and quality assurance practices.Be supervisors first point of contact and be able to fill in for supervisor when necessary.Ensure that accepted reasonable accommodations are met for employees in area of responsibility.The experience we’re looking to add to our team:Is proficient in all Flex technologies and manufacturing techniques.Demonstrates a high level of competency and functional/ process knowledge while leading manufacturing processes.Demonstrates broad knowledge of manufacturing techniques and may improve processes by applying new techniques.Be able to conduct on the job training and lead employees.Ability to understand and speak English.Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to other employees.What you'll receive for the great work you provide:Full range of medical, dental, and vision plansLife InsuranceShort-term and Long-term DisabilityMatching 401(k) ContributionsVacation and Paid Sick TimeTuition Reimbursement Application Deadline:Applications for this job position will be accepted for at least five days following the job posting start date below and continuing until the end date below or until the position is filled.
