Job Description:
As an ADA/Section 508 Accessibility Tester , you will support enterprise application modernization initiatives by leading and executing User Acceptance Testing (UAT), accessibility validation, automation testing, and quality assurance activities across multiple business-critical platforms. This role combines traditional QA expertise with specialized ADA/Section 508 compliance testing and AI-powered test automation to ensure applications meet quality, accessibility, and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in manual and automated testing within Agile environments and possess expertise in accessibility compliance testing, modern testing tools, defect management, and AI-driven testing methodologies. This role plays a critical part in reducing operational risk, improving digital accessibility, accelerating modernization efforts, and ensuring successful software releases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans, test schedules, test strategies, and test scope documentation aligned with project milestones and release cycles.

• Lead and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities for modernization initiatives and enterprise applications.

• Design, execute, and maintain manual, automated, functional, regression, integration, performance, and user acceptance test cases.

• Create, manage, and execute automation test scripts to improve testing efficiency, coverage, and reusability.

• Utilize AI-powered testing tools and methodologies to automate regression testing, generate test cases, support predictive defect analysis, and create self-healing test scripts.

• Conduct ADA, Section 508, and WCAG 2.1/2.2 accessibility testing using automated tools and manual validation techniques.

• Perform screen reader testing, keyboard navigation testing, accessibility audits, and remediation validation activities.

• Document, track, prioritize, and manage defects through resolution using established defect management processes.

• Execute API testing, integration testing, and performance testing activities to validate system functionality and reliability.

• Produce testing metrics, execution reports, defect analysis reports, and release readiness assessments.

• Collaborate with development, business, project management, and stakeholder teams to ensure testing objectives are achieved.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and project status discussions.

• Support post-deployment validation and release verification activities to ensure application stability and quality.

• Provide recommendations for improving testing processes, automation coverage, accessibility compliance, and software quality.

Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

• Professional experience in software development, systems analysis, quality assurance testing, business analysis, or process design.

• Strong experience performing manual and automated software testing within Agile/Scrum environments.

• Proven expertise in ADA, Section 508, and WCAG 2.1/2.2 accessibility compliance testing.

• Experience conducting accessibility validation using screen readers, keyboard navigation, and automated accessibility testing tools.

• Hands-on experience with Jira, Zephyr for Jira, SQL Server, Postman, Selenium, Tricentis Tosca, or equivalent testing tools.

• Experience developing, maintaining, and executing automated test scripts and automation frameworks.

• Knowledge of API testing, integration testing, regression testing, functional testing, performance testing, and UAT methodologies.

• Experience with defect management, root cause analysis, quality reporting, and test documentation.

• Familiarity with AI-powered testing platforms, intelligent automation tools, predictive defect analysis, and automated test generation techniques.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.

• Experience supporting large-scale application modernization projects and enterprise software implementations is highly desirable.

• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

The hourly range for roles of this nature are $40.00 to $55.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
