This is a Full Time position located in Portsmouth, NH . Job Description We are seeking a friendly, customer service focused Guest Service Agent/ Laundry to join our team at Hampton Inn Portsmouth . This is a Full Time position located in Portsmouth, NH . In this position you will be responsible for guest registration, making reservations, and providing guests with information about the hotel and the local area. Work Performed As a Guest Service Agent/Laundry, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional service and ensuring a memorable stay. The Laundry Attendant is tasked with providing an uninterrupted supply of clean linens for the entire hotel, through the process of sorting dirty linen, washing, ironing, folding, and stacking. Manage online, phone and in-person room reservations in sometimes fast-paced environment Communicate relevant shift information to next shift and direct supervisor Welcome guests, check them in/out, distribute room keys and explain the hotel’s amenities Take payment and resolve any payment discrepancies Respond to guest issues and complaints in a friendly, timely manner Explain local amenities and attractions to guests Work with other staff members to ensure that all guest rooms meet hotel standards and accommodate any special guest requests Keep workstations and equipment clean, organized, and in good working order Perform duties as outlined in the training procedures, following standard operating procedures Assist with other departments when necessary Performs other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management Assist the Housekeeping department in collecting soiled linen from rooms and distributing clean linen Separate, wash, dry, and fold items according to prescribed methods Prepare Room Attendant’s inventory orders for delivery Monitor/replenish chemicals used in laundry equipment Clean dryer lint traps to prevent risk of fires Requirements High school education or equivalent experience 1 or more full years employment experience in a related position Must be able to work onsite at the hotel location Hours required: Full Time 30-40 hours per week for shifts Must be flexible; Weekends/ Holidays Bilingual English/Spanish a plus Proficiency in the English language Willingness to learn new technology platforms Ability to stand at front desk for long periods of time Ability to lift/push up to 50 lbs. guest luggage; limited Ability to work independently Ability to maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times Additional Preferred Skills/Qualities Previous customer facing experience preferred Knowledge of Microsoft suite Second language is a plus, preferably Spanish or French Compensation $18 Hourly Earned paid time off Employer-contribution medical/dental/vision insurance Optional life insurance Short term/Long term disability Optional 401k with employer match Employee discounts at participating hotels Option to sign up for on-demand pay with DailyPay Refer a friend – get paid extra when they join our team!
