Spray Painter/Blaster

1st Class Corrosion Control TechnicianThe 1st Class Corrosion Control Technician will accomplish surface preparation, application of protective coatings and installation and maintenance of environmental controls, as required to safely and properly accomplish corrosion control to any and all surfaces as required by Work Specifications. Required minimum levels of experience, qualification and certification are delineated within this job description. Basic duties of a 1st Class Corrosion Control Technician are as follows:5+ years experience as a spray painter or blasterPrepare all types of surfaces for preservationRemoves old paint and debris from all types of substrates by scraping, chipping and sandingOperate 3,000 to 5,000PSI pressure washers and wash surfaces to remove grease, rust, scale, and dirtOperate 40,000PSI ultra-high pressure water jetting equipmentMix solvents and coatings accurately to formulaApply coatings in accordance with specifications and good marine practiceCapable of brush and roll painting for passing all inspection processesBe familiar with and exercise proper procedures for painting in confined spacesControl costs in assigned area of responsibilityComplete tasks with little to no supervisionOther duties may be assigned as workload requirements dictateUnderstand and act upon simple instructionWork independently to complete job assignmentsMust have regular, reliable attendanceMust be a US citizenJob Type: Full-timePay: $25.00- $27.00 per hour; $120 per diem non-local only$$$ Hire Bonus $$$Ameri-Force BenefitsAs part of the Ameri-Force team, a recognized ESOP company, you have a personal stake in the collective success of the organization, fostering a collaborative and rewarding work environment.
