The Medical Progressive Care Department (PCU) at Banner University Medical Center-Phoenix provides a solid cardiac foundation that creates an outstanding cardiac nurse who can leverage this experience to advance in areas such as the Intensive Care Units (ICU), Emergency Department (ED) and Operating Room (OR). PCU nurses are highly recruited for their critical thinking skills, which are developed through the acuity of patients we care for. We are currently seeking experienced PCU Nurses but at this time are accepting applications for those that have Telemetry, ICU, Home Health, Skilled Nursing, Medical/Surgical or any other acute or critical care background. As a MedicalPCU Registered Nurse, you will care for a wide variety of patients, such as heart failure, pulmonary hypertension, pre-heart transplant, NSTEMI, and pre & post cardiac device (AICD, pacemakers) and offer treatment modalities such as ultrafiltration (used for HF patients no longer responding to diuretics). This opening is for a FULL-TIME Night Shift opening and will require 3 shifts per week from 7pm-7:30am, with weekends and holidays included on a rotating basis. You will also have the opportunity utilize our self-scheduling tool for shift and weekend coverage. Enjoy an 18%-night shift differential and a flat rate $3/hour weekend shift differential. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under their direction. This position utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills necessary to assess data and plan, provide and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients.
