About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Department Observation Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in ER, ER Holding, or MS/Tele License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS Must-Have: - ER experience required - Experience in ER Holding or MS/Tele - Experience with diverse patient age groups including Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, and Geriatrics Description: The role involves providing care in an Emergency Department Observation setting. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience. Experience in ER Holding or Medical-Surgical/Telemetry is also required. The daily patient census is expected to be around 32. The unit maintains a patient ratio of 4:1. Ability to manage various procedures and equipment is critical. The candidate should have strong skills in accessing and managing ports, and caring for ventilated patients. Additional responsibilities include blood product administration and management of dysrhythmias. Effective communication and teamwork skills are essential to collaborate with interdisciplinary support. Candidates must be aware of and comply with credentialing processes. Two professional references are required, including one from a manager or director. Please note that this position requires the candidate to complete necessary background checks upon contract signing.
