Job Summary:
Telemetry Nurse in Cudahy, Wisconsin. This position involves providing specialized nursing care for telemetry patients in a facility located just outside Milwaukee. The role requires delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, supporting the clinical team with a focus on patient safety and monitoring.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 08/24/2026.
• Required Qualifications: RN license, BLS certification; 1 year of Telemetry (TELE) nursing experience; location in Wisconsin.
• Preferred Qualifications: NIHSS certification.
• Qualifications: Experience with telemetry monitoring, cardiac rhythm interpretation, NG tube management, Foley placement, wound care, central line/blood port draws, and handling drips such as Cardizem, amiodarone, heparin, Lasix, and insulin.
• Patient Types: Cardiac conditions like CHF, chest pain observation; neuro assessments including seizure and stroke monitoring; general medical issues like COPD, renal, hepatic, and GI issues.
• Unit Information: 28-bed telemetry unit with an average census of 20-22 patients per day.
• Support within Department: Charge RN reduces patient load, phlebotomy support, RT and hospitalist available 24/7, therapy services during daytime, centralized telemetry monitoring.
• Technology/Equipment: EPIC electronic medical record, Alaris infusion pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing, monitors, ceiling lifts.
• Floating: May float to other Medical-Surgical units or hospital areas, only taking MedSurg patient assignments.
• Orientation: One 12-hour shift orientation on the unit.
• Other Notes: No specific scrub color requirements; free employee parking; supportive team environment.
