Job Summary:
Medical Surgical with Telemetry in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This position involves providing patient care in a Level III Trauma Center with a focus on acute medical-surgical and telemetry nursing. The role requires delivering high-quality nursing services to a diverse patient population and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid BLS certification, 2 years of experience in acute care setting, Wisconsin State nursing license, Bachelors of Science in Nursing or equivalent degree, experience with telemetry monitoring, and IV skills
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with electronic health records (EPIC), experience in observation unit, and familiarity with inpatient admission/discharges
• Support on the Unit: Charge nurse with lighter patient assignments, 24/7 unit secretary, hospitalist coverage, in-house respiratory therapy staff, centralized telemetry monitoring with tele tech 24/7, phlebotomy assistance, and charting system using EPIC
• Orientation: 4-8 hours of new employee orientation (dayshift), including meeting with educator, supervisor, and manager, followed by one full shift on the unit or based on experience
• Additional Information: Scrub color is flexible (no camo or denim). Documentation of pain level before and after medication administration is required. Parking is provided in designated areas.
