Management may assign additional tasks related to the type of work of the position as necessary.* * Receives and prepares samples; sets up supplies and equipment needed for daily activities; assist in preparation of chemical reagents for testing.* Supports laboratory testing on water, wastewater, solids and biosolids to ensure adherence to legal standards and certification criteria.* Maintains and updates applicable documentation and database including bench sheets, quality control, LIMS, etc.* Completes cross-training in areas of laboratory analysis as needed.* Helps to maintain working inventory of all chemicals and related supplies for assigned tasks.* Performs all duties in accordance with agency policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.* Performs general clerical work as required, including but not limited to preparing reports and records, completing forms, entering, and retrieving computer data, preparing spreadsheets, etc.* Attends meetings, training, seminars, conferences, etc., as appropriate to enhance job knowledge and skills.**Essential Skills & Experience:*** Must possess a valid state driver’s license.* Requires a high school diploma, GED or specialized vocational training.* Requires a minimum of one (1) year lab experience in wastewater or environmental laboratory operations.
