Thrive Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Nashville, Tennessee. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel ICU Registered Nurse (RN) Location Nashville, TN Unit Overview Number of Beds: 16 Patient Ratios: 2:1, with the possibility of 1:1 or 3:1 based on patient acuity and staffing levels Unit Staffing: Unit secretary available during dayshift; occasional nurse externs working as techs Equipment Utilized: Ventilators, EVDs, CRRT, SLED, EV 1000 Documentation System: Meditech Scheduling Information Minimum weekend requirement: 4 weekend shifts per schedule Schedules are created in 4-week increments with some self-scheduling opportunities The manager may adjust shifts to balance staffing needs Floating Policy Contract labor is the first to float. In case of staffing needs in medical/surgical units, contract labor may be expected to float and accept assignments in those areas. Patient Care Expectations Provide attentive and compassionate care to patients and their families, ensuring a positive experience for all. Required Certifications ACLS BLS Qualifications Active RN License ICU experience required Advanced Skills Candidates should possess skills in the following procedures performed on the unit: Insertion of central lines Insertion of arterial lines Performing lumbar punctures Chest tube insertions Insertion of external ventricular drains (EVDs) Dress Code Required uniform: Navy scrubs, tops, and bottoms.
