A busy retail pharmacy in Mount Sterling, Kentucky, is seeking a full-time Staff Pharmacist to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with strong technician support, processing approximately 3,000 prescriptions weekly. The ideal candidate will hold an active Kentucky pharmacist license, have recent retail pharmacy experience, and be comfortable managing pharmacy workflow while delivering exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Verify prescription accuracy and provide patient counseling
• Use PioneerRx system to process and manage prescriptions efficiently
• Oversee pharmacy operations and technician workflow support
• Ensure strict compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations
• Deliver excellent customer service to patients and collaborate effectively with pharmacy staff
• Provide coverage on Saturdays 1 to 2 times per month

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active Kentucky Pharmacist license in good standing is required
• Recent experience in retail pharmacy preferred
• Proficiency with PioneerRx system is a plus
• Ability to thrive in a high-volume pharmacy environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work both independently and within a team
• Availability for some Saturday shifts (1-2 times monthly)

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (four weekdays per week)
• Saturday coverage 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM (1-2 times per month)

This opportunity is contract-to-hire and offers a competitive salary within a supportive work environment staffed by two pharmacists and multiple technicians on weekdays, with reduced staffing on Saturdays.
