A retail pharmacy located in Mount Sterling, KY seeks a full-time Staff Pharmacist to enhance its team. This role is ideal for a pharmacist with recent retail experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and values collaboration with skilled support staff. The pharmacy processes approximately 3,000 prescriptions weekly with a dedicated team of pharmacists and technicians, providing a dynamic and supportive workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify prescription accuracy and ensure patient safety
• Provide thorough patient counseling and respond to medication-related inquiries
• Oversee pharmacy workflow and support technician activities
• Utilize PioneerRx software to process and manage prescriptions efficiently
• Maintain compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations
• Support daily operations in a high-volume retail pharmacy setting
• Deliver excellent customer service to patients and team members
• Provide scheduled coverage on Saturdays, typically 1 to 2 times monthly

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Kentucky Pharmacist license in good standing
• Recent retail pharmacy experience preferred
• Familiarity with PioneerRx system preferred
• Ability to perform effectively in a high-volume setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated, capable of independent work and teamwork
• Availability for limited Saturday shifts as scheduled

Schedule:

• Monday through Thursday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• One Saturday per month, 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM (approx. 1–2 Saturdays monthly)
