Commercial Lines Senior Account Manager

INSURICA, Inc.

SUMMARY:The Senior Account Manager is responsible for assisting in the production of new and renewal accounts, in keeping with agency and individual producer goals, and when necessary, provides field service in support of producer activities and maintains high service standards.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Market (as needed), service, develop, and retain assigned accounts; meet established account development and retention objectives, as well as a targeted mix of business, underwriting guidelines, and volume commitmentsObtain renewal information, complete applications, obtain markets, deliver policies, coordinate efforts of loss control or other services, and resolve service issuesRetain and develop accounts by making recommendations regarding risk handling to the Producer and/or Customer; seek the most cost-effective requested insurance coverages, prepare proposals, evaluate and recommend other lines of coverage, and provide additional resources for the client, as neededNegotiate with the insurance companies for the most proper coverage optionsAssist the Producer in preparing and making presentations of insurance programs to key accounts and prospectsPerform all transactions and maintain client files on the agency management systemRequest renewals, endorsements, and other needed data from the companies and insureds; solicit Producer and Account Executive assistance, when needed, to issue coverage in a timely, efficient manner; bind coverage within Agency Underwriting AuthorityCheck new and renewal policies, endorsements, audits, and cancellations and promptly handle for accuracy in rating, typing, coverage, signatures, and input these transactions to generate billing invoices and quality products for our customers; maintain files in an orderly, up-to-date mannerPrepare Stewardship reports, as neededIndependently create renewal proposalsConduct renewal meetings with customers on behalf of the ProducerReview all activities relating to the public, customers, and companies to avoid issues involving potential errors and omissionsRefer current and prospective clients to the Employee Benefits Department and to the Personal Insurance Department for solicitation of those lines of businessParticipate in seminars and other training to maintain required licenses and for knowledge and skill developmentAdditional ResponsibilitiesThis job description is intended to describe the level of work required of the person performing the position. Specific performance objectives may be developed each year to measure the performance of the tasks and functions listed in this job description.Remote work opportunities vary by location, department, and business need and are subject to change, as needed. Each manager will provide details on any telecommuting opportunities, as well as scheduling, within their department.QUALIFICATIONS:5-7 Years of previous insurance experience, with a focus on commercial lines and surety coverages, underwriting, and marketing/rating preferredPossession of, or the ability to quickly obtain, all licenses as required by the State Department of InsuranceCollege degree, CPCU, and CIC designations preferredProven experience working with mid-size to large commercial lines customers preferredKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:Strong PC skills, with a focus on the Microsoft Office Suite of products (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, etc.), as well as agency management systemsStrong presentation skills, with the ability to influence othersAbility to interpret abstract informationAbility to work within a fast-paced, changing priority environmentSelf-motivated, with the initiative to prioritize and be self-directedRegular and punctual attendance is requiredAbility to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writingExcellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both colleagues and managers, across all levelsAbility to promote and maintain a team environment, willing to find accommodating solutions for our customers, companies, and the AgencyAbility to successfully adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as maintain strict confidentialityWORKING CONDITIONS AND REASONABLE ACCOMMODATIONS:Fast-paced, multi-tasking, office environment with periodic high disruption and changing prioritiesAbility to perform approximately 80% sedentary work, exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and negligible force frequentlyAbility to lift up to 20 pounds occasionallyRequires operation of a computer workstation, including keyboard and video displayAll requirements may be modified to reasonably accommodate physical or mental impairment #J-18808-Ljbffr INSURICA, Inc.
