Details 22-bed Med/Surg Intermediate Stepdown unit Patient ratio of 1:3-4 Respiratory-heavy floor treating respiratory failure, ETOH, overdose, GI bleed, electrolyte imbalance, COPD, and cancer patients Utilizes trach, vent, VAPO, and BIPAP equipment Uses EPIC EMR Night shift, 19:00-07:30 Every other weekend required No call requirements Floating required to similar or lower acuity units as needed Night shift orientation occurs on day shift, requiring full availability that week Requirements Active RN license (Missouri or compact) Current BLS and ACLS certification from AHA Minimum 1 year of recent inpatient Stepdown experience required Trach/vent experience required No gaps in employment exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months Additional Information Provide direct patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation across all age groups Coordinate care with ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes and comfort Maintain professional accountability and evaluate care provided by other direct caregivers Level 2 Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center environment Black scrubs required Flu vaccination or facility-approved exemption required November 1 through April 1; declinations not accepted RTO of up to 5 days allowed, must be made up during the assignment Only 1 holiday RTO request allowed per assignment Local candidates accepted, though bill rate is reduced for those within 50 miles of the facility Candidates within 50 miles are limited to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts before requiring a 1-year separation or reassignment outside the radius Teamwork, dependability, and flexibility are valued traits for this role American Traveler Job ID P-748360.
