The associate will be an integral member of the team, work closely with the senior analyst and two other team members to develop and market all equity research products. The role requires strong analytical and critical thinking skills, a passion for the stock market, keen attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.The work environment involves collaboration, co-ordination and a shared knowledge base with the analyst and rest of the team but equally values independence, initiative, idea generation and a sense of ownership for the work.Ideal Candidate: Our ideal candidate must be fully licensed, have 3+ years of proven equity research experience in the Consumer Staples sector (ideally Food Retail & Packaged Food) and have a strong desire to help create, launch and support new research in the consumer packaging space. Strong accounting and finance skills, a passion for the stock market and the ability to work on a fast-paced equity research team are critical.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Building and maintaining detailed company models (IS/BS/CF)Analyzing financial statements and news related to industry coverageConducting store, channel checks, pricing studies and market share analysisAnalyze company filings (10-K, 10-Q, earnings releases) and company transcriptsWriting equity research reports and formulating investment thesesParticipation in site visits and management meetingsMaintaining and analyzing industry data, including in-depth analysis of Circana dataCommunicating investment recommendations to internal and external clientsExperience/SkillsA combination of writing skills, technical knowledge, industry experience, and finance skills in equity research, finance or accounting demonstrated through relevant work and educational experience is required. Candidates must have a clear and proven track record of achievement throughout their education and career.
