The Studio is seeking talented, licensed beauty professionals who are passionate about artistry, client relationships, and business growth. The Studio Artists serve as the face of the Studio 1938 experience, delivering exceptional beauty services while building a loyal clientele and driving retail sales. This role combines technical expertise with an entrepreneurial mindset. Studio Artists are responsible for creating memorable client experiences, providing personalized consultations, recommending products and services, and growing their business through client retention, referrals, and rebooking. Every appointment is an opportunity to strengthen relationships, increase client loyalty, and elevate the Studio 1938 brand. Essential Job Functions Guest Experience & Customer Service Deliver exceptional customer service throughout every stage of the guest experience, from consultation to follow-up. Create a welcoming, elevated environment that reflects the Studio 1938 and Dillard's brands. Build meaningful relationships with clients that foster loyalty, retention, and referrals. Conduct detailed consultations to assess client goals, preferences, lifestyle, and service needs. Provide personalized recommendations that enhance the overall guest experience. Resolve guest concerns professionally while maintaining positive client relationships. Service & Artistry Perform all Studio 1938 services according to brand standards and state licensing requirements. Brow and facial waxing Brow and lash tinting Brow lamination Lash lifts Lash strip and cluster application Professional makeup artistry Facials and skincare services Deliver consistent, high-quality results with exceptional attention to detail. Stay current on beauty trends, products, techniques, and emerging services through ongoing education and training. Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to learn new services as client demand evolves. Retail Sales & Business Growth Meet or exceed individual service and retail sales goals. Recommend professional beauty, skincare, and cosmetic products based on each client's needs. Educate guests on homecare routines and product usage to maximize results between visits. Encourage appointment pre-booking and future service scheduling. Drive add-on services, retail product sales, and client retention opportunities. Build and grow a personal book of business through exceptional service, networking, referrals, and proactive follow-up. Actively participate in studio events, promotions, and business-building initiatives. Operations & Professional Standards Maintain a clean, sanitized, organized, and inspection-ready workstation at all times. Follow all company policies, state board regulations, sanitation standards, and safety requirements. Accurately manage appointment scheduling and service timing. Maintain professional appearance and conduct consistent with Studio 1938 and Dillard's standards. Ensure all tools, equipment, and supplies are maintained and utilized properly. Work collaboratively with fellow Studio Artists, Cosmetics associates, and store leadership. Support studio goals and initiatives designed to increase traffic, client acquisition, and revenue. Share product knowledge, techniques, and best practices with team members. Contribute to a positive, high-energy environment focused on service excellence and growth. Job Requirements Active Cosmetology or Esthetics License required and maintained in good standing. Demonstrated proficiency in waxing, tinting, brow services, lash services, makeup artistry, and skincare services. Strong consultation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to build client relationships and drive repeat business. Comfortable working toward service, retail, and productivity goals. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays consistent with retail operating hours.
