Sales Account Manager

Account Manager – Industrial Distribution We are retained on a search with an industrial distributor looking for an Account Manager with industrial experience to join their team. About The Role This is a territory-based Account Manager position focused on growing revenue through a combination of existing account management and new business development. You will be selling a broad range of industrial products and solutions — including pumps, fluid power, hydraulics, pneumatics, and related motion control products — to customers across a variety of manufacturing and industrial end-markets. Responsibilities Manage and grow an established territory by building strong relationships with existing customers while actively pursuing new accounts Call on plant managers, maintenance teams, engineers, and procurement personnel Identify customer needs and present appropriate product and solution recommendations Partner with internal application engineers and vendor representatives to deliver the right solutions Develop and execute a territory plan to consistently hit and exceed sales targets Maintain accurate records of activity, pipeline, and forecasting through CRM Requirements 3+ years of outside sales or account management experience in industrial distribution or a related field Pump experience is required — familiarity with fluid power, hydraulics, or pneumatics is a strong plus Strong hunter mentality with the ability to open new accounts while retaining and growing existing business Excellent communication, organizational, and follow-through skills Comfortable working independently and managing a broad territory Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the assigned region Compensation Competitive base salary + commission.
