Park Customer Service Representative at Bastrop, TX.

VCS is looking for Park Customer Service Representative I (Driving Required) for one of our clients at Bastrop, TX.

Pay Rate: $17.93/hr

Contract: 12 months with possible extension

Work Days: Thursday - Monday: weekends required 40 hours a week - Days off for now will be Tuesday and Wednesday

Work Hours: 8AM-5PM

Must Have:
- Zero or more years of experience in providing customer service and operation of an electronic Point-Of-Sale System
- Preferably in a park or hotel setting.
- Driver's license

Job description:
- At an entry level, provides customer service to park visitors.
- Answers phone, greets park visitors, acts as cashier and provides information to visitors on park operations and facility rentals.
- Works effectively with contract employees, park hosts and volunteers.
- Collects, counts and prepares cash and check deposits.
- This position develops competence by performing structured work assignments and receives instruction, guidance and direction from supervisor, manager, team lead and more experienced colleagues.
- Obtains information on customer reservations from Reserve America reservations center.
- Meets and greets park visitors.
- Explains and interprets client's regulations and park policies to visitors.
- Provides park information and acts as park cashier.
- Sells merchandise, rents cabins and canoes and collects day use fees (including curbside service at front entrance office).
- Provides customers with facility rental information.
- Provides tours of facilities available for rent to potential customers as requested.
- Sends rental agreements and park information to customers.
- Updates special event calendar to ensure proper staffing for events at parks.
- Answers the park phone for specific location.
- Answers the park line two to three days per week.
- Collects and counts cash deposited at parks in honor boxes. Prepares cash and checks received for deposit to the bank.
- May enter equipment and vehicle mileage in Maximo tracking system.
- Counts inventory and orders cleaning, office and park store supplies within approved supply management policies and procedures.
- Maintains district electronic or hard copy files, invoices and records for park use while ensuring compliance with the client's records retention policy.
- Performs work by traveling independently to various client's locations as needed.
- May perform light custodial work, special event setup, park gardening and landscaping.
- May be assigned administrative special projects.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
- Knowledge of deposit and statement reconciliation methods
- Skill in verbal and written communication
- Skill in calculating correct change for cash transactions
- Skill in providing customer service Intermediate skill level in office productivity applications (such as email, word processing, spreadsheets, etc.)
- Ability to work efficiently and independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to build relationships and foster teamwork
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to balance and manage competing high priority work demands

Work Environment:
- Work hours are primarily spent in a park office environment
- Some work hours are spent in a park facility and outdoor environment
- Work involves exposure to natural hazards such as fire ants, snakes, wasps and other stinging insects and other wildlife
- Some work is confined to a particular work space which requires relief to leave
- Work hours are vary, some work hours will include weekends, evenings and holiday

Physical Demands : Work involves frequent finger/hand manipulation in using a keyboard and mouse Work involves frequent standing and/or walking in an outdoor environment, including walking over uneven surfaces Lifts and carries up to 30 pounds less than 20 percent of the time Pushes or pulls up to 30 pounds less than 20 percent of the time
