Location: Riverport Area - Louisville, KY

Shift: Sunday - Thursday | 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM

Pay Rates:

• Pay Rate: $20.10/hr to start
• After 90 Days: $22.00/hr
• After 1 Year: $22.50/hr
• Additional $.50 starting August 1st

Position Summary


Malone Workforce Solutions is hiring a Quality Inspector for an automotive manufacturing facility in the Riverport area. The Quality Inspector is responsible for performing inspections of products and processes to ensure conformance to customer specifications within molding and assembly departments. This position plays a critical role in maintaining quality standards, identifying defects, documenting findings, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Inspect products and processes in receiving, manufacturing, inventory, and shipping areas according to established quality standards and procedures.
• Use measuring devices such as calipers, plug gauges, pin gauges, fixtures, templates, and visual aids to verify product specifications.
• Record inspection results and maintain quality documentation, forms, charts, and statistical process control (SPC) data.
• Conduct station audits, including auditing production parts, operator work instructions, quality alerts, scrap, and rework activities.
• Monitor and support containment activities involving sorting, rework, and rejected materials.
• Troubleshoot defects and assist with problem resolution and process improvements.
• Ensure effective communication of quality issues between shifts through logs, reports, and verbal communication.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment while promoting 5S practices.
• Comply with all company quality, environmental, health and safety, product safety, and information security requirements.
• Work overtime as required to support production needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1-3 years of manufacturing or warehouse experience required.
• Automotive manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience inspecting injection molded or molded components preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Ability to read, speak, and understand English fluently.
• Forklift experience is not required.

Physical Requirements

• Constant standing and walking.
• Frequently lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
• Constant use of hands and fingers for operating equipment and computer systems.
• Must be able to work closely with others and keep pace with production equipment.
• Personal protective equipment (PPE) required.
