We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to support a growing organization. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for an accounting specialist who can help maintain accurate financial records, contribute to the monthly close cycle, and prepare reliable financial reports. The role offers an opportunity to work closely with the finance team while ensuring strong control over general ledger activity and account accuracy.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee key activities tied to the monthly close process, ensuring deadlines are met and financial data is complete.
• Prepare and post journal entries with supporting documentation to maintain accurate accounting records.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts on a regular basis and investigate variances to resolution.
• Perform bank reconciliations and confirm cash activity is properly recorded and balanced.
• Assist in producing financial statements and related schedules for internal reporting needs.
• Review account activity for accuracy, identify discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions when needed.• Demonstrated experience handling month-end close responsibilities in an accounting environment with strong attention to detail.
• Strong working knowledge of general ledger processes and journal entry preparation.
• Hands-on experience completing account reconciliations with a high level of accuracy.
• Background in performing bank reconciliations and resolving outstanding items.
• Ability to support financial statement preparation and analyze supporting details.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage priorities effectively.
