Make a meaningful impact supporting students across multiple schools as a licensed Occupational Therapist on a full-time contract basis. This rewarding opportunity is available to those with an active North Carolina OT license and experience in a school setting. As an itinerant professional, you’ll provide essential OT services and collaborate closely with staff and administrators to foster student growth and independence.

Key qualifications and experience:

• Valid and active North Carolina Occupational Therapist license
• Prior school-based OT experience required
• Familiarity with ECATS documentation and processes
• Ability to function effectively in an itinerant role across multiple school sites
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills

In this position, your core responsibilities include:

• Delivering direct and indirect OT services to students, following IEP goals
• Conducting evaluations and reassessments, maintaining thorough documentation
• Consulting with teachers and staff to support student participation in class
• Developing intervention plans and progress monitoring
• Traveling between sites (within a commutable area), adjusting to changing daily needs
• Participating in IEP meetings and supporting compliance with district procedures

This assignment is designed to cover a maternity leave and will run from as soon as possible through January 31, 2028 (tentatively). You’ll work 37.5 hours each week, engaging with a diverse student population and making a measurable difference in their school experience.
