Job Title

Mechanical Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop mechanical and electromechanical components, assemblies, and systems using SolidWorks.

Partner with customers and program engineers to understand product requirements, design intent, and technical objectives.

Lead Design for Manufacturing (DFM) initiatives to ensure product designs are optimized for production, cost, quality, and reliability.

Create and maintain 3D models, engineering drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and supporting documentation.

Participate in design reviews, prototype builds, and product validation activities.

Work closely with manufacturing, assembly, and machine shop personnel to improve product designs and production processes.

Support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and implementation of design improvements.

Collaborate with suppliers and vendors regarding component selection, manufacturability, and technical requirements.

Ensure designs meet customer specifications, industry standards, and quality requirements, including AS9100 environments when applicable.

Support new product development efforts from concept through production release.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

U.S. Citizenship required.

Professional experience in mechanical design engineering.

Proficiency with SolidWorks for 3D modeling and design development.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $120000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
