As a Psychiatrist at CoreCivic, you'll do more than prescribe and diagnose. You'll guide a team, mentor staff, and help shape policy. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct DSM diagnoses , prescribe, and monitor psychotropic medications .
• Provide individual, group, and family counseling for inmates/residents.
• Lead and supervise mental health services , ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Participate in civil commitment proceedings and discharge planning.
• Oversee operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness in mental health programs.
• Coordinate crisis management and participate in anti-terrorism planning .
• Support legal processes related to correctional psychiatry.

Requirements

Qualifications & Must-Haves

1. Education: Advanced degree in Psychology or a related clinical field , with applicable certification/licensure .
2. Experience: Five years of clinical experience , including two years in a comparable position .
3. Licensing: Must be a licensed/certified psychiatrist , or willing to obtain Kansas licensure .
4. Valid Driver's License: Required.

• Salary Range: $275,000 - $350,000
