Position Summary: Successful Material Handler enjoys the challenges of working in a fast paced, team oriented environment while safely completing the processes associated with shipping, receiving, warehousing and inventorying products/items An inventory specialistmanages a company's stock by tracking incoming and outgoing goods, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring optimal inventory levels to meet operational needs. Key duties include conducting physical counts, reconciling discrepancies, coordinating with suppliers, and using inventory management software to record and report on stock. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and often involves physical tasks like lifting and standing for long periods Essential Duties and Responsibilities Safely operate multiple types of lift trucks and pallet jacks including completing pre start up inspections. Executes material planning, procurement and inventory control for production. This includes sourcing /purchasing and receiving all raw materials/ ancillary items. Manages, adjusts and tracks inventory shortages or gains include root cause analysis and action plans to correct. Develops a schedule and leads physical inventories and cycle counts on all raw materials. Identifies and correct root cause of inventory variances. Put away and/or stage all incoming product Receive and Label RMAs for Fabrication Complete receiving functions in IQMS Making inventory moves/adjustments in IQMS Ability to learn and successfully use an RF scan gun Manage and organize floor space constraints vs. inventory levels Rotate and replenish all inventory stock to keep lower racking full ??? Maintain Receiving Rack Responsible for hardware rack organization Maintain and Schedule dumpster pick ups Scrap, Saw Dusts and Cardboard runs as needed Manages hardware kits both on and off site Back up truck driver Essential Functions Demonstrate attention to detail Demonstrate willingness to learn and advance Motivated to increase skills and progress Able to operate multiple types of lift trucks (i.e. narrow aisle reach, order pickers, sit-down lift) Excellent communication skills, must be able to communicate effectively with technicians, the management team and outside suppliers/vendors Versatile & self-motivated able to prioritize work to best use time Able to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner Consistently looks for ways to improve and promote quality Accuracy and thoroughness in data recording Desire to work in a team based environment where decision making is at the team level Recognize and take action upon what needs to be done with little to no aid Interested in company results Treat people with respect Follow policies and procedures Open to new ideas and welcome change Commitment to working safely Able to apply team feedback to improve work performance Prompt and consistent attendance Appropriately asks for and offers help Possess strong Microsoft office suite and keyboarding skills Able to quickly and accurately compare color and pattern of products on the basis of visual stimuli to quality control standards Comfortable working at elevated heights Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Selection Criteria: The position will be filled based upon the following selection criteria: Maintain an acceptable level of performance & attendance Ability to flex shift and complete OT as required Preference to team members with prior truck driving experience Has successfully completed 9 months of employment (Exceptions to this 9-month requirement can be made prior to posting the position externally) Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED), three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Forklift Experience a plus. Language Skills Able to communicate & comprehend in the English Language to perform the duties of this position. Mathematical Skills Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Possess the ability to accurately read a tape measure. Reasoning Ability Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to occasionally loud and PPE is required. Appropriate hearing protection while in the plant is required as noise levels within the facility meet OSHA requirements for hearing protection equipment.
