Volt is hiring a 1st Shift   Mfg.   Quality Specialist for a leading organization in Phoenix, AZ.

 

As a Quality Specialist , you will:

• Support quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with company, customer, and industry standards.
• Monitor product and process quality to maintain operational excellence.
• Conduct inspections and audits to verify product conformance and quality requirements.
• Utilize measurement tools and inspection equipment to evaluate products and processes.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, specifications, and quality documentation.
• Identify, document, and investigate quality issues and defects.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, and cross-functional teams to resolve quality concerns.
• Provide feedback and recommendations to production teams to prevent recurring defects.
• Assist with root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
• Track quality metrics and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate quality records and documentation.
• Follow all safety, quality, and company procedures.

 

This is a Full time, temp to hire opportunity.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm

 

Must be available to work overtime and weekends as needed.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
• Proficiency in using measurement tools and inspection equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with operations, engineering, and cross-functional teams.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Flexibility to work overtime and weekends when required.

 

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Experience supporting quality assurance and quality control activities in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience performing inspections, audits, and documenting quality findings.
• Knowledge of root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
• Ability to identify and communicate quality concerns to production teams.
• Experience tracking quality metrics and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
• Familiarity with quality documentation, specifications, and compliance requirements.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.

 

Pay Rate: $25/hr. -$27/hr. DOE

* Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
