Environmental Health and Safety Manager

Manager, Environmental Health & Safety Key Responsibilities Manage Environmental, Health & Safety programs related to OSHA, EPA and other state/local regulatory agencies for the entire plant location. Provide plant safety reports and statistics, and lead leadership and development regarding environmental health and safety matters. Directly or indirectly manage staff assigned to the EHS department, including scheduling, performance management, and daily operations. Maintain OSHA records and develop corrective action plans to prevent reoccurring problems. Establish and develop site‑specific Health and Safety programs and drive implementation. Partner with other support functions (Quality, Sanitation, Maintenance) to ensure objectives overlap with EHS. Provide guidance on regulatory compliance and hazard prevention. Perform operational hazard assessments, recommend corrective actions, and evaluate protection equipment. Train personnel in mandatory OSHA compliance, first aid responders, and operational hazard‑specific training. Lead injury management, conduct claims investigations, and develop preventative measures. Foster a safety culture and employee engagement consistent with Campbell’s Corporate Safety Strategy. Facilitate site safety committees and teams. Participate on site leadership team and implement site‑wide integrated business plans for safety and health. Be available 24/7 for guidance on EHS matters. Lead change initiatives, manage multiple projects, build relationships, and provide training and development opportunities. Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions. Monitor and analyze performance metrics to drive continuous improvement. Reporting Report into Site Director. Qualifications Must Have High School Diploma. 5+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment. Nice to Have Bachelor’s degree in Safety and Environmental Management, Industrial Hygiene or related technical field. Experience in food manufacturing or consumer packaged goods. Certifications: ASP (Associate Safety Professional), CSP (Certified Safety Professional). Knowledge of OSHA and EHS regulations. Experience in risk assessments, incident investigations, and emergency response planning. Attention to detail, analytical skills, and effective communication. Physical Requirements Work in office and plant floor settings, exposed to industrial noise, forklift traffic, moving mechanical parts, and temperature extremes. Compensation and Benefits Base Salary: $102,900 to $141,500 (varies by location and experience). Additional compensation may include performance bonuses and other benefits.
