Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Registered Nurse serving elementary and middle school students in a vibrant educational setting near Jersey City, NJ. This full-time role spans from September 4th to June 25th, offering a consistent schedule of 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:15AM to 3:15PM. You’ll play a vital role in supporting the health and well-being of students across one or more school buildings, working alongside educators and staff to create a safe, nurturing environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing the health needs for both elementary and middle school caseloads
• Administering routine and emergency medical care
• Maintaining accurate health records and managing medication administration
• Acting as a health resource for students, teachers, and parents
• Ensuring health protocols are followed throughout the school
• Collaborating with district teams and participating in wellness initiatives
• Identifying and responding quickly to emerging health concerns

Desired skills and qualifications:

• Valid School Nursing NJ RN licensure required
• Proven school-based nursing experience; must be comfortable within district routines
• Demonstrated ability to service a diverse student caseload in need
• Capable of overseeing the health and safety protocols for entire school buildings
• Reliable transportation and willingness to commute as needed
• No LPN candidates accepted for this role

Onboarding requirements include a recent TB test, physical evaluation, and agency/district fingerprinting.
