Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | 8 or 10-hour shifts, Monday–Friday with rotating call coverage (1 weekend of call every 6 weeks and approximately 1 call day per week); stay-late shifts expected 1–2 times per week as an extension of the core shift

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a circulating nurse, providing direct patient care and documentation throughout the operative setting across a large multi-campus system supporting 33 operating rooms
• Perform sterile prepping of surgical sites, patient positioning, and catheter insertion in preparation for surgical procedures
• Open and manage sterile supplies and set up operating room equipment as directed by the surgical team
• Document patient care activities accurately within an electronic health record system (EPIC-based platform)
• Operate and assist with equipment including cautery, lasers, laparoscopic equipment, and Omnicell
• Float to other campuses within the Fargo system on a rare, as-needed basis when case volume is low

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience
• Experience in a large hospital setting, Level 2 trauma center or higher
• Active North Dakota RN license or active Compact RN license (must be willing to obtain ND licensure)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) — required
• Experience with General surgical cases including GYN, Urology, and laparoscopic procedures
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced OR environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Familiarity with EPIC-based computerized charting systems
• Broad experience across multiple surgical specialties in a high-volume, multi-room OR environment
• Comfort with floating between campuses within close proximity
