Legal Administrative Specialist

Job TitleIf selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team that is responsible for legal and administrative support in the Criminal Division. At the full performance level, you will provide a variety of legal and technical support services to the United States Attorney's Office, District of Idaho in our Boise Headquarters office.Duties may include but are not limited to:Providing technical and analytical assistance to support the litigation needs of the United States Attorney's Office.Training legal support staff on use of processing software, tools, and equipment used in performance of duties.Performing a variety of litigation support functions necessary to prepare, organize, index, develop, manage, and track exhibits, evidence and data in criminal cases and matters.Assisting attorneys and legal staff in organizing voluminous case information for efficient retrieval.Process and managing electronically stored information (ESI) using appropriate tools.Building databases in review software.Applying knowledge of court programs, automation requirements, and characteristics to resolve problems.Conduct factual and legal research in legal and non-legal databases in support of investigations and cases.Drafting legal documents and correspondence, such as requests for extensions, letters transmitting discovery, routine notices, and written summaries of witness statements or documentary evidence.Providing technical and procedural guidance to criminal legal administrative specialist team members.Providing recommendations to the management team regarding policies, procedures, practices and work assignments to improve the management and support of cases.
