Supported by Panoramic Health, one of the nation's leading integrated nephrology platforms, our team provides specialized outpatient care and vascular access services in a fast-paced ambulatory setting. We are seeking a Per Diem Patient Access Coordinator to provide coverage support as needed during business hours. This role is ideal for an experienced healthcare administrative professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys being the central point of communication for patients, providers, and referral partners. What You'll Do As a Patient Access Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring a seamless patient experience while supporting clinical and operational workflows. Coordinate and oversee patient scheduling activities. Answer incoming calls promptly and route them appropriately. Maintain patient charts and ensure accurate documentation. Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits. Obtain referrals, authorizations, and pre-certifications from insurance carriers. Serve as a liaison between physicians, dialysis centers, hospitals, and referring facilities. Ensure test results and clinical documentation are sent to referring providers as appropriate. Coordinate dialysis treatments and related patient services. Arrange transportation for patients when needed. Perform administrative duties including filing, faxing, scanning, and document management. Maintain office supply inventory and order supplies as needed. Support patient flow and communication throughout the care process. Maintain strict patient confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Participate in community outreach and educational activities as requested. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of two years of experience in a healthcare office, medical practice, ambulatory surgery center, or medical billing environment required. Strong understanding of medical terminology. Experience verifying insurance coverage with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payors. Experience obtaining insurance referrals, prior authorizations, and pre-certifications. Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to work effectively with patients, providers, and referral sources.
