Senior Accountant

Insight Global is looking for a Senior Staff Accountant to support a manufacturing company located in Doraville, GA. In this role you will prepare and approve journal entries and reconciliations and deal with a variety of fixed assets, cash, pre-pays, general accruals and perform year-end annual audit actives. This role will require you to work hybrid (3 days a week in office Tue-Thurs) in Doraville, GA. Day to day: Execute general accounting processes to support multiple cost centers and plants Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations Perform month-end, quarter-end and year-end close procedures Research, track, and resolve accounting issues Assist with analytical activities to support both internal and external reporting in accordance with accounting policies, U.S. GAAP, and other statutory or government reporting guidelines Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data to support the timely reporting of key financial information as required by supervisors Understand and execute internal controls related to accountabilities; proactively seek opportunities to strengthen internal controls Partner with other functional groups such as Operations Finance, Corporate, and Sales Finance groups to provide accounting support as needed Assist with the development of accounting policies and procedures and recommend changes to improve processes Assist in the resolution of discrepancies and data maintenance Protect organization\'s value by keeping information confidential Support external and internal audit requirements Ensure agreed upon Service Level Agreements are met Ad-hoc tasks and/or projects as necessary Requirements: 8+ years of senior/staff level corporate accounting experience Experience with Oracle FCSS, Blackline, and ERP systems such as OHM Experience with preparing and approving journal entries and reconciliations along with dealing with fixed assets, cash, pre-pays, and general accruals Experience with year-end annual audit activities Plusses: CFG background or experience within the manufacturing industry Professional accountancy certification such as CPA, CIMA, ACCA or ACA preferred Compensation: $45/hr to $70/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
