Job Details Location: The Residence at Brookside, Avon, CT 06001 Type: Full Time Salary: $130,000.00 – $140,000.00 About the Role LCB Senior Living is hiring an Executive Director for The Residence at Brookside. The Executive Director is responsible for the efficient operation and overall management of the residence, ensuring high‑quality care and service in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations. The role includes hiring, evaluating, supervising staff, managing budget and occupancy, representing the residence to the community, and fostering a culture of quality and customer satisfaction. Actively grow community occupancy by representing the residence to prospective residents, families, and professionals. Exercise administrative authority over overall management; delegate day‑to‑day operations when absent. Maintain open and timely communication with associates, residents, families, and LCB Senior Living. Ensure compliance with LCB policies, procedures, laws, and regulations. Develop and implement quality improvement, strategic planning, and environmental safety programs. Manage community outreach and partner with local service resources. Provide necessary resources to associates for efficient operations. Implement operating and financial controls per community and LCB policy. Plan and conduct staff orientation and training. Encourage teamwork across departments to improve services. Conduct timely associate performance reviews. Administer counseling, retraining, and corrective action fairly. Review incident/accident reports; implement changes to minimize future issues and comply with reporting. Prepare annual operating budget with LCB Senior Living. Review resident complaints and grievances; take appropriate action. Oversee all record‑keeping functions. Ensure staffing, schedules (if applicable), and backup coverage meet requirements. Attend required in‑service training and orientation per state regulation. Direct daily operations and provide leadership to department managers. Participate in Manager‑on‑Duty Program. Perform other duties as requested. Qualifications Computer Skills: Proficient with office software (word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentation software). Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Manage multiple priorities, build cohesive teams, oversee operations, make daily business decisions, handle emergency situations calmly, communicate effectively in English verbally and written. Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent experience in human services, housing or nursing home management. Experience: Minimum 25 years of age, administrative and supervisory management experience. Certificates/ Licenses: Required state/federal licenses (e.g., Assisted Living Administrators License, CPR, First Aid). Valid driver’s license.
