Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift

Maintenance TechnicianWe're hiring a Maintenance Technician to join a growing manufacturing operation in Fargo. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys troubleshooting equipment, solving mechanical problems, and keeping a production facility running safely and efficiently.This is an overnight position working 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM, with some flexibility needed to train on a mid-shift initially. Starting pay is $32/hour, including a $2.50/hour shift differential, with flexibility for higher pay based on experience.The ideal candidate brings a strong mechanical background along with experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial equipment. This position will work across mechanical, electrical, and facility systems and play an important role in preventative maintenance and overall equipment reliability.What You'll Be DoingPerform preventative maintenance on production machinery and equipment to minimize downtime and improve reliabilityTroubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and facility-related issuesDiagnose equipment problems and replace motors, conveyors, airlocks, spouting, and other components as neededWork with PLC systems to troubleshoot and optimize equipment and processesPerform electrical wiring, plumbing, welding, and fabrication work as neededComplete scheduled preventative maintenance work orders and document repairsIdentify equipment concerns before they lead to larger problems or production interruptionsSource parts and materials needed for maintenance and repairsMaintain tools, equipment, and maintenance work areasAssist with facility maintenance and improvement projectsWork with outside vendors and contractors when neededFollow established safety, food safety, and manufacturing proceduresWho We're Looking ForStrong mechanical aptitude with hands-on industrial maintenance experience or extensive mechanical trainingExperience troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing or production equipmentPLC programming and troubleshooting experienceKnowledge of electrical wiring and plumbingWelding and fabrication experienceAbility to diagnose problems and determine effective repair solutionsFamiliarity with OSHA/general industry safety standardsStrong decision-making and prioritization skillsSelf-motivated and able to work independently while also contributing to a teamAbility to work the 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM overnight shiftFlexibility to complete initial training on a mid-shiftComfortable working in a production and warehouse environmentAbility to regularly lift up to 50 lbs. and perform the physical requirements of an industrial maintenance positionWhat Our Client OffersStarting pay of $32/hour, including a $2.50/hour overnight shift differentialFlexibility for higher compensation based on experienceStable, long-term opportunity with an established local operationHands-on role with a variety of mechanical and technical responsibilitiesOpportunity to troubleshoot, repair, and improve a wide range of equipment and systemsTeam-oriented work environmentOpportunity to make a direct impact on equipment reliability and day-to-day operations
