Position Type: Full-Time, Temporary

Target Pay Rate: $21.00 / hour

Shift: 1st Shift (with training advancement to rotating 24/7 schedule)
Job Overview

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Production / Operator to join our production team in Lufkin, TX. In this role, you will start by managing logistics and warehouse tasks, with the unique opportunity to undergo training and skill development to advance into chemical process operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Logistics & Monitoring: Monitor the loading of resin trailers (45,000 lbs per shipment measured by outage/yardstick), manage pumps/valves, and stamp weights for inbound trucks.
  
  
• Material Handling: Safely operate a forklift to unload vans, move materials, and stage goods for production.
  
  
• Traffic Control: Marshal trucks to their proper spots and perform comprehensive pre-load tasks and inspections.
  
  
• Documentation: Use a computer or tablet to document shipping/receiving data and keep accurate records of manufacturing processes.
  
  
• Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and safe industrial environment by sweeping and cleaning warehouse floors.
  
  
• Growth & Advancement: Train to monitor and operate chemical reaction processes to manufacture polymer resins, industrial chemicals, and raw materials.

What is Needed to be Successful (Requirements)

• Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  
  
• Experience:
  
  
  • Proven experience safely operating a forklift .
    
    
  • At least two (2) years of continuous employment within the last four (4) years.
    
    
  • At least one (1) year of experience in an industrial, warehouse, military, farming, construction, mechanical, or production environment.
    
    
  • At least one (1) year of experience using a computer/tablet for data entry, record keeping, or shipping/receiving documentation.
• Environment & Schedule:
  
  
  • Ability to work in outside weather conditions, at heights, and within confined spaces.
    
    
  • Flexibility to work a rotating shift schedule in a 24/7 operation (including nights, weekends, and holidays) as you advance in training.
• Preferred: One (1) or more years of experience in the chemical or refinery industries is a plus.
