Neuro Cardiac Unit MS/Tele RN - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• 3 months of travel experience is required.

• Experience with Epic is required.

• Trauma Level 2 experience is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Indiana license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >40 miles from facility to be submitted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: SimpliFi Program - Deaconess Health.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience:

• Recent EPIC experience required (will be required to do a checkoff class)
• Skillset: NIHSS/dysphagia screen/strong neuro assessment skills. Tele/12-lead EKG interpretation (TRAVELERS REQUIRED TO PASS TELE TESTS), Intitate/titrate drips (Insulin, cardiac, Heparin, etc.), heart Cath recovery (fem. & TR bands).
• Teaching hospital, may require precepting of students & new-hires

Preferred Skills/Experience: NG/PEG tubes, PIV insertion, Tikosyn doing, chest tubes.

Required Credentials: Associate Degree or Certificate

Shift & Scheduling:

• Start: 6/29 or 7/6
• Three weekends out of every six week schedule. Every other holiday.

Floating Requirements: First to float within skillset. Deaconess Midtown (IN) campus (8 miles apart) & potential to float to Deaconess Henderson (KY – 11 miles). 2 HR notice given for cross campus float. Mid-shift float within same campus. Cross campus mid-shift float is unlikely but possible.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
