About This Job Responsible for maintaining the operational and transactional responsibilities of the department. Manages the coordination of day‑to‑day activities of a specific business function. What You’ll Do Supervise a team of specialists and manage strategy, design, coordination, implementation, evaluation, and recognition of partnerships between families and schools to deepen family involvement and engagement. Establish procedures for identifying school family‑school community partnership needs in the district and connect family liaisons to resources, supports, and opportunities aligned to those needs. Develop and implement projects, programs, and partnerships that are mutually beneficial between schools and the district to enhance parent involvement, student achievement, and authentic relationships. Support school‑level family engagement liaisons in accessing and implementing the research, policies, and high‑impact practices of family‑school‑community partnerships. Oversee and support the execution of the Parent‑Teacher Home Visit Program, including supervisory aspects as needed. Support academic partnerships, school and leader trainings, new educator and CSC district‑wide trainings, providing support in navigating school governance, FSCP, and implementation at school sites, including supervisory aspects as needed. Oversee creation and management of several databases and processes for PTHV and FSCP/liaison related work. Oversee monthly training programs for FSCP initiatives and PTHV throughout the year and develop and coordinate extended family and community engagement events. Maintain and update FSCP and PTHV information on the district website and report on progress, as well as other important initiatives. What You’ll Need High‑school diploma or GED (required). Bachelor’s degree preferred. Supervisory experience and skills (required). Two or more years of direct experience as a family liaison, supporting a school, or overseeing/supporting/training district‑wide liaisons (preferred). Three or more years of experience leading a large district Parent‑Teacher Home Visit Program or similar (preferred). Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, including the ability to lead a high‑performing team. Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and program best practices for family engagement. Strong organizational and analytic skills and strong attention to detail. Self‑starter and leader who can anticipate department needs proactively. Ability to develop and interpret data and manage resources. Ability to motivate and influence others. Proficiency with Google products (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail). Ability to multi‑task and juggle management of several high‑priority projects in parallel. High degree of integrity in handling confidential information. Bilingual skills in Spanish or any DPS Consent Decree language (preferred). Demonstrated grant writing knowledge useful.
